4-th International Conference DeSSerT 2009

April 22-25, 2009. Like a good tradition, the International Conference “Dependable Systems, Services and Technologies – DeSSerT 2009″ was conducted in the end of April, on basis of RPC “Radiy” (Kirovograd, Ukraine). More than 160 scientists and engineers from 12 countries participated the conference. The most interesting questions for participants lied in the areas of development, testing, verification, and licensing of FPGA-based systems. Center’s staff actively participated in organization and conducting of the conference; they presented series of papers in the context of the conference.

Cert – QSS Workshop (International Workshop “Certification and Qualification of Safety-Critical Software”)

April 6-8, 2009. Center’s staff participated in International Workshop “Certification and Qualification of Safety-Critical Software” that was conducted on basis of The Institute of Information Science and Technologies “A. Faedo” (ISTI-CNR), Pisa, Italy. The staff presented a paper “Software Qualification of Programmable Complex Electronic Components (PCEC) of Nuclear Power Plant Systems: Ukrainian Experience”.

Intermediate meeting of WG-A3 “Application of Digital Processors to Safety in Nuclear Power Plants” of IEC SC 45A

April 1-3, 2009. Center’s staff participated in IEC SC 45A WG-A3 meeting that was conducted on a basis of Institute for Safety Technologies (ISTec), Garching, Germany. There was discussion concerning national committees comments for new editions of IEC 61513 “Nuclear Power Plants – Instrumentation and control for systems important to safety – General requirements for systems” and IEC 62566 “Nuclear Power Plants – Instrumentation and control important to safety – Selection and use of complex electronic components for systems performing category A functions” standards.
